Weekly Pulse On Track Momentum: Steady

This week focused on technical SEO improvements, wrapping up the Request a Demo page refresh, and keeping popup performance steady. A full Semrush audit rerun confirmed meaningful gains, the demo page is ready to go live once the approved form drops in, and the Hoteldata redirects training empowered the team to manage routine URL changes without developer involvement. No client action is needed at this time.

Capacity is tracking as expected for the month (~27 of 45 hours used).

Progress This Week

Visibility & SEO Complete

SEO Audit Strength Improved

Reran the Semrush site audit after structural and technical optimizations. Audit score up 7%, all Errors resolved, duplicate content and title conflicts eliminated.

Impact: Stronger crawl integrity, cleaner technical footprint, and reduced risk of ranking dilution from duplicate signals.

Visibility & SEO Complete

Invisible Link Cleanup in Header Navigation

Reconfigured Max Mega Menu to replace the original header menu link instead of nesting inside it, removing invisible/empty anchor tags from the DOM.

Impact: Cleaner accessibility tree and crawl signals. Removes a class of warnings that was holding back technical SEO health.

Marketing Enablement Ready to Launch

Request a Demo Page Refresh Complete

Implemented all of Clarissa's feedback on logo sizing, quote styling, and mobile spacing. Updated page is ready for final review at actabl.com/request-a-demo-copy/.

Impact: Page is queued to ship as soon as the new approved form drops in. Updated visual treatment better supports the demo request flow.

Technical Improvement Complete

Self-Service Redirects Training

Delivered training on how the team can add redirects to Hoteldata.com themselves.

Impact: Reduces dependency on WebOps for routine URL changes. Marketing and content teams can move faster without waiting on us.

Technical Improvement In Progress

JavaScript & CSS Asset Cleanup

Switched Max Mega Menu asset output from unminified to minified versions, reducing warnings from 465 to 368.

Impact: Reduced unnecessary front-end weight. Additional reduction planned with the theme style cleanup.

Popup Performance

The Request a Demo popup is reaching a broader audience since expanding to product and solutions pages.

Currently In Progress

Visibility & SEO Awaiting Input

Long Title Element Content Review

Five pages flagged for overly long SEO titles. Assigned to Rebecca for content review so titles can be tightened while preserving intent.

Next step: Titles will be applied once Rebecca returns content decisions.

Technical Improvement Planned

Theme Style Cleanup & Minify

Next pass on technical performance — consolidating redundant CSS and ensuring theme styles are minified.

Next step: Schedule inside the remaining February capacity once new work priorities land.

Next Up

  1. Launch the new Request a Demo page and Homepage design once the approved form drops in.
  2. Continue SEO improvements unless new work takes priority.
  3. Prepare for new page update requests coming from Bex.

Risks / Blockers

Request a Demo and Homepage launches waiting on approved form

Severity: low Owner: Client

Both pages are complete on our side. Ship date hinges on the final approved form being confirmed.

Recommended next step: Confirm the approved form so we can take the pages live.

Looking forward to the Monday sync.
